Facilities Fund

In order to improve learning conditions and to meet a requirement by the SEP
(Dept of Education), a new classroom is a priority in the next school year. The space will provide adequate space for up to 20 elementary age students, with materiales and storage space as well as meet all safety regulations. Ideally, our new classroom will be ready on or before July 2008.

Scholarship Fund

In 2007, Escuela del Mundo, A.C. offered scholarships to 10% of its student population. Families receiving financial assistance are of Mexican origin, long-time residents of the community with proven financial disadvantages. Donations specific to the Scholarship Fund will us help the school provide on-going assistance to selected families and to increase the number of recipients each year.

Kindergarten - $1500 annual sponsorship
Elementary - $2000 annual sponsorship

Canadian Students for San Pancho

Representing high school students from Esquimalt High in Victoria, British Columbia...Sami Barker delivered donated school and art supplies to Escuela del Mundo. Twelve students traveled to San Pancho on a two week cultural exchange while also volunteering and participating in local school, EntreAmigos Project and Escuela del Mundo activities. Our BIG THANKS to project organizer and Esquimalt teacher, Kenneth Henderson and all the amazing students from Esquimalt. We await your return ! (March 2008)

3rd Annual Festival of Appetizers / 3er Festival de Aperitivos at San Pancho's Mar Plata Restaurant

Escuela del Mundo, AC celebrated another successful gathering at the annual fundraiser event , Festival of Appetizers/Festival de Aperitivos. Held once again at the beautiful Mar Plata Restaurant in San Pancho, this third year generated funds, more connections and offered an opportunity for the Escuela del Mundo, AC to share its accomplishments as well as propose its new goals for the coming year. THANK YOU to all who contributed, attended and donated gifts/services for the wonderful Silent Auction & Gift Baskets. AND, a special recognition for Amandine and the Mar Plata staff for their generous support in making the evening incredible!
